At Glass Gatherings of Bend, we provide custom party and event services for people of all ages, helping facilitate and inspire the creation of beautiful fused glass art pieces on site at your location! We bring the expertise and materials; you provide the venue and tables. Perfect for birthday parties, family reunions, bridal showers, club events, jewelry making parties, senior center activities, school fundraisers or simply a gathering of family or friends.
A second passion of ours is accommodating custom orders! Unique fused glass gifts, decorative art pieces for home or business, custom glass tiles, memorial keepsakes embracing the ashes of a beloved pet, and whimsical yard art are just a few of the possibilities.
What is Fused Glass?
Fused glass, also called warm glass, is glass that has been fired in a kiln at high heat. The process of making fused glass art pieces can be very simple or quite complex. At Glass Gatherings, whatever you choose to create, we make it easy! Most of our projects begin with a clear glass base upon which designs in colored glass are applied. The glass is then heated in a kiln to bond (fuse) it together. If desired, the glass can be heated a second time using a mold to form (slump) the piece into a specific shape.
